Questions

Smart home automation FAQs

How much does a smart security package cost?+

Packages start from KES 60,000, typically covering a four-camera CCTV kit with a recorder and phone viewing, or a combination of cameras with a gate motor. Electric fencing adds about KES 950 per metre, and access control runs KES 40,000 to 80,000 per door depending on the reader and lock type.

Which camera brands do you install?+

Dahua, Tiandy and Hikvision. All three are established in the Kenyan market, so spares and firmware support are locally available, and we match the camera model to each position rather than selling one model for every wall.

Will the system work when Kenya Power goes off?+

Yes. Cameras and recorders run from backup power, gate motors carry their own battery backup, and electric fence energisers switch to battery automatically. Blackouts are exactly when you need security working, so it is designed in from the start.

Can I watch my cameras from outside Kenya?+

Yes. The recorder is connected to your internet and the app works anywhere in the world. We configure remote access, set strong passwords and turn off default credentials during handover, which is the step most quack installers skip.

Is electric fencing safe for children and pets?+

When installed correctly, yes. The energiser delivers a short, non-lethal pulse designed to startle rather than harm, with proper warning signs, insulation and earth systems. Safety depends entirely on correct installation, so it must be done by a trained technician, never a DIY kit on masonry walls.
